Bob Burkart is a partner whose practice centers on litigation and appellate advocacy, with particular emphasis on business and commercial disputes.
He represents individuals, startups, and Fortune 500 companies across a range of industries, advising clients on shareholder issues, contract interpretation, and restrictive covenants. Bob also has extensive experience defending Indiana counties and municipalities in negligence and constitutional claims.
A seasoned trial and appellate lawyer, Bob has successfully represented clients before the Indiana Supreme Court, the Indiana Court of Appeals, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. He has also served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Evansville and twice on the United States Magistrate Judges Selection Panel.
Bob earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Hanover College, where he was an All-American quarterback. He pursued postgraduate study at Trinity College in Carmarthen, Wales, and received his law degree from Emory University in 1992. An active community volunteer, Bob has served on the Evansville Park Foundation Board of Directors, the Holy Rosary School Board, and the Holy Rosary Athletic Booster Club.
